Midnight Cry Stable is more than simply a name.  But as a name, it has achieved accomplishments and acclaim formerly reserved for the famous racing and breeding operations of old.  The name is derived from our first successful yearling purchase and racing champion, Midnight Cry, a Smart Strike filly who was a multiple graded stakes performer who died tragically in a training accident prior to the 2002 Kentucky Oaks.  In her memory, the entire operation was dedicated.

Midnight Cry Stable is not just a racing stable.  We have a full service breeding, foaling, lay-off and racing operation.  Our farm, the legendary Hillcrest farm, which is renown for the superior quality of its land and natural mineral waters, was the birthplace and home of some of the thoroughbred industry’s top champions, such as:

 

• Einstein (2002) – Grade 1 & 2 stakes winning earner of more than 500K;
• Curlin (2004) – Grade 2 & 3 stakes winning earner of more than 800K.
• Chris Evert (1971) - Multiple Grade 1 stakes winner with earnings of over 600K; 1974 Triple Crown Filly; 1974 Champion 3 year old filly; 1974 Leading Money Earner; Racing Hall of Fame Member (1988).
• Winning Colors (1985) – Filly/Mare.  Kentucky Derby Winner of 1988.  Multiple Grade 1 stakes winner of more than 1.5 million dollars.
• French Deputy (1992) – Sire. G2 stakes winner of 195K                      
• Sea of Secrets (1995) – Sire.  G2 stakes winner of 155K
• Tap Dance City (1997) – Japan Cup (G1) stakes winning earner of more than 9.5 million dollars.
• War Chant (1997) – Sire. $1.1 Million earner and winner of the Breeders Cup Mile (G1)
• Carmelitta Gibbs (1973) – Stakes Winner; 3rd Kentucky Oaks, G2
• All Rainbows (1973) - Stakes Winner (118K); Dam of Winning Colors
• Special Grayce (2002) – Multiple stakes placed earner of more than 135K;
